  • How to select a certain part of the video to be converted?

1. Use trimming buttons. There is a line of editing buttons under the preview window. You may click Start Point and End Point to select a certain segment of DVD movie to be ripped.

2. Specify start time and stop time manually. Go to the right panel, find Output Duration, enter start time and stop time.

  • How to cut unwanted video parts?

  • Can I preview videos in larger window?

Yes. Double-click the preview window to zoom in and zoom out.

  • Audio tracks does not sync with moving pictures, why?

You can solve the problem by setting the A/V Sync. Please go to the right pane of the main window of Any Video Converter, find "Audio Options > A/V Sync", and choose "Basic" for the A/V Sync.

You can also solve the problem by increasing the sync factor. Please click the Edit menu and follow this path: "Edit > Options > Video > Audio/Video Sync", and then drag the bar to increase the sync factor. The acccuracy of A/V sync will increase as th the number of the factor increase. Note that the increase of the sync factor might slow down the converting speed some how.

AV Sync

Please note that some source video files may be encoded with defects that would disrupt or mislead the converting process. This sometimes will cause converting errors and the out-of-sync problem. In this case, it’s suggested that you change output format or the input files.

  • Why there is no sound in the converted videos?

Please make sure that the "Audio Option > Disable audio" option is set to "No" before the conversion.

Windows XP users please go to the "Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices>Audio> Sound Recording >Advanced”, check "Stereo" option in the pop-up panel

If the Advanced button is disabled, please click Volume button in Sound Recording panel, you will see a pop-up window, choose Properties in Options menu, and then please check Stereo Mix in the list.

Other situations please find the log file "vdoconv" at the location of C:\Documents and Settings\******\Application Data\Any DVD Converter Professional\vdoconv. (Replace the ****** with your computer user name). Please send this log text file to us. We will respond to you as soon as possible.

  • Is sound normalization available?

Yes. Click on the menu “Edit - > Options - > Audio”, adjust the sound normalization in the Audio Volume panel.

  • Is surround sound supported by Any Video Converter?

No. With Any Video Converter, you will get video files with 2 channels (stereo sound) or 1 channel (mono sound).

  • Can I disable the audio in the video?

Yes. Go to the right panel in the main window of Any Video Converter, find Audio Options, and choose “Yes” as the attribute of Disable Audio. Screenshot Needed

  • How to get better audio quality?

Basic A\V Sync renders better converting quality. You may also set higher Audio Bitrate and Audio Samplerate to get better audio render.
